    This place is definitely an energy. Came here with a friend a couple of weeks ago and let's just say it certainly felt like a Friday night! Early 2000s hip-hop and rap was blaring from the speakers (was so hard not to seat-dance) and the place was packed. Saw couples, grouples, GNO. Something for everyone. Throughout dinner several sparklers were lit for birthdays. Definitely was giving a little 'dinner in Hollywood at Katsuya' energy. Or a Japanese spot in OC, just can't recall the name. We took advantage of the %65 DineLA prix fixe special so we didn't have to do much thinking. The expected standards came out, family-style (crispy brussels sprouts, yellowtail and salmon sashimi, popcorn tempura shrimp, spicy tuna with crispy rice, seabass and black pepper beef skewers, baked crab handroll, strawberry butter cake for dessert), but overall tasty. Our server was David and he was really nice- I know he was swamped that night but he maintained that smile and friendliness so kudos for that. Fun spot if you're in the mood for modern Japanese with a young energy in the Valley.

    Anthony had the best attitude for the table We are 8 people for birthday party and he exceeded our expectations regarding the quality and quick service Delicious food especially the sea bass dish and the salmon traffle roll

    Wow, very well done Taisho! The food and the ambience are spectacular. I planned out a nice night out with the wife because my mom is in town to watch our newborn, and what an experience. The food is very exceptional, and the prices match the quality of the food and service. Michael was our server and he was on his game. Very attentive and quick. All the staff seemed to be very perceptive and engaged with the needs of the customer. I would highly recommend for a date night out or dinner with friends. Don't miss this spot.

    Taisho is my favorite resaurant in LA. The food is unbeatable, and the atmosphere is great. Tonight's experience was made even better by our server, David, who not only took great care of our party of 5, but he was kind, funny, and charismatic, and made us feel like VIPs from start to finish.
